Parachute Creek Gas Plant - Site of March, 2013 Spill

Parachute Creek Gas Plant - Site of March, 2013 Spill

Crews uncovered a pipeline that goes under Parachute Creek. Benzene has been found in high levels in ground water on both sides of the creek, and "Diesel Range Organics" have been detected in the creek itself. On April 18th, benzene was found to be in the creek at and downstream from the leak. The creek flows into the Colorado River which supplies 35 million people with drinking water.
